About the CEO and Founder
Andy Figueroa was born in Los Angeles California to entrepreneurial parents from whom he learned and became interested about the business world and business development.
He grew up in the State of Michoacan Mexico, and from an early age he realized the impact that businesses have in society, families, and local economies. Surrounded by “comerciantes” growing up, he wondered why some businesses became big while others failed in the attempt, a question that later took him to college.
He graduated in 2009 with a bachelor of business administration degree, and a minor in human resources from the Michoacan University of San Nicolas de Hidalgo.
Andy possesses a wide range of professional and international experience that includes the public and private sector, non-profits, business consulting/development and education.
He has been recognized and awarded for his work with small businesses, economic and community development. In 2018 he received the Thank You America award from the City of Aurora for his leadership and instrumental work on behalf of immigrant communities. He also received the Youth Competitiveness award in 2005 for the best business incubator project from the State Government in Michoacan Mexico. He has also served in several boards including the City of Denver Mayor’s Ambassadors Commission, Community College of Aurora, Institute for Mexican Abroad (IME) with the Mexican Consulate in Denver among others.
